A chain of mountains rising a few kilometres behind Forte Village Resort gives it a unique microclimate: never too windy and never too hot.

The surrounding beaches and coasts all have different characteristics, each with its own unique charm. In the area immediately surrounding Forte Village, you will find:

• Chia, with its lagoon, cut off from the sea by a narrow spit of sand;
• San Pietro Island, with the characteristic town of Carloforte, which still preserves ancient Ligurian customs;
• Baia Zafferanu, with its large dunes and maze-like caves that may be visited;
• Cala Cipolla – rugged and wild;
• Tuaredda, where the sea really does have tropical colours;
• Capo Spartivento, with its stacks and medieval lookout towers – the perfect place for windsurfing.
